Frequently Asked Questions

What is Mental Wellness For All?

Mental Wellness for All is a non-profit public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We provide free online group mental wellness sessions and affordable private mental wellness sessions for individuals (and pets), teens, families, groups, and couples seeking mental health counseling.

Who will be helping me?

After you sign up, we will match you to an available wellness practitioner who fits your objectives, preferences, and the type of issues you are dealing with. Different practitioners have different approaches and areas of focus, so it's important to find the right person who can achieve the best results for you. We have found that we are able to provide a successful match most of the time. However, if you start the process and you feel your practitioner isn't a good fit for you, you may elect to be matched to a different practitioner.

How are the practitioners verified?

Our team ensures that every practitioner we bring to the platform is diligently vetted for quality and safety of care provided. The practitioner must provide a valid license, proof of identity, and undergo a criminal background check.

How do I invite my loved one?

After you sign up to the site, you and/or your loved ones will be matched with an experienced and appropriate  wellness practitioner. The practitioner will then reach out to you to set up an appointment. At this point, you can decide your involvement. You can continue to act as the go between or introduce your loved one to the practitioner and end your involvement based on your assessment of your loved one's abilities moving forward.

How much does it cost?

A weekly 45-minute session is $33/session and $132 billed every 4 weeks. However, we provide a free 15-minute consultation if you would like to ensure that the wellness Practitioner is a good fit. A 45-minute session for your Pet is $39; ; a Daily 45-minute session is $27/session and $764 billed monthly; and a Wellness Retreat is $190 and up depending on the length of the stay. You may cancel your subscription or change your practitioner at any time, for any reason and the plan will not renew at the end of the plan cycle (certain restrictions apply, so please contact us for more details)

How may I pay for my Mental Wellness For All sessions?

Your payments for the Weekly and Daily Plans will be charged to a credit card or PayPal before your 1st session, and then on a recurring basis every 4 weeks. If you choose the Intro Session, Pet Plan, or Wellness Retreat, then your credit card or Paypal will be charged only once before your first session/retreat.

If you accomplish your goals or if you find your sessions with Mental Wellness For All are no longer helpful for any reason, you can simply cancel your subscription and your plan will not renew at the end of the 4 weeks.

How long does it take to see the results from the mental wellness sessions?

It depends on the nature and severity of your condition. Each person’s experience of mental wellness training will be different, and the time it takes to see an improvement will also vary. It is not uncommon for someone to feel better within one or two sessions, but the majority of clients report feeling much better after 3 months of Weekly Sessions or at the end of a month of Daily Sessions. It takes time for mental wellness training to work because mental habits and interpersonal patterns have built up for years, if not decades. To benefit from the wellness process, you need to actively engage in the assignments between sessions, and be honest with your practitioner when describing symptoms and situations.

What is the role of Mental Wellness For All?

The service is provided by independent practitioners who work directly with you. These practitioners are not employees of Mental Wellness For All. However, our team will follow up at the end of the first 4 weeks with each client through an online survey. This survey ensures that our practitioners are providing you with quality service, and that we at Mental Wellness For All are improving client service best practices.

How do I switch wellness practitioners if it isn’t a good fit?

Most clients find a wellness practitioner they like on the first try, but it’s easy to switch anytime for any reason. Simply contact us. At that time you can provide a reason or not. Anything you share will be confidential.

How do I track my progress?

Our program is built to help you see your progress over time. You’ll work with your wellness practitioner to build a personalized plan. Once a month, we’ll send you a mental wellness assessment to check in about how you’re doing.

Who are the practitioners?

Our wellness practitioners, although not licensed therapists, have certifications in one or more modalities and energy practices. They also have years of experience with your particular challenge(s).

Will my practitioner treat what I say as confidential?

The wellness practitioner will keep what you tell them confidential, but there are limited exceptions. For example, if you threaten grave harm to yourself or to an identifiable victim the practitioner is required to report this information to the relevant authorities. Before starting mental wellness sessions, please discuss with your wellness practitioner their legal obligations to confidentiality if you have any concerns or questions.

For more information about how Mental Wellness For All protects your interactions, please review our Privacy Policy.

If you wish for any of your information or records to be released to a third party, please let your wellness practitioners know so that they can facilitate the release.

May I stay anonymous?

When you sign up we do not ask you for your full name or contact information but rather a "nickname" created by you that will be used to identify you in the system. When you decide to start the mental wellness process, we will ask you for your contact information for emergency situations, in cases where your wellness practitioner believes that you or someone else might be in danger.

For additional information about how Mental Wellness For All helps protect your privacy, please review our Privacy Policy.

Is Mental Wellness For All a substitute for traditional face-to-face therapy?

Mental Wellness For All may provide many of the same benefits as face-to-face therapy, but it isn't a substitute for face-to-face therapy in every case. Most notably, your wellness practitioner isn't able to make an official diagnosis, prescribe medication, or fulfill any court order.

Will I or my loved one be working with the same therapist, or different therapists?

You and/or your loved one will be assigned one wellness practitioner to work with for as long as they decide to use Mental Wellness For All. However, if you wish, you can always switch to another practitioner at any time.

How often can I meet with my practitioner?

Our Weekly Plan can be front loaded somewhat if your needs require it. For example, if your wellness practitioner's schedule allows it, you could possible do 4 sessions in the first 2 weeks. However, if you feel you will need more than 4 sessions every 4 weeks, then we highly recommend that you subscribe to our Unlimited Plan. It allows for an up to 45-minute daily session for 30 days for 30% off the Intro Session price.

How do I communicate with my practitioner?

When you're matched to a wellness practitioner, you can communicate with the practitioner in four ways:

  • Phone

  • Video

  • Text

  • Email

For live sessions, we encourage you to try what works best for you, based on your needs, availability, and convenience.

What are live sessions and how do they work?

Live sessions are scheduled 45 minute wellness sessions between you and/or your loved one and the wellness practitioner. You can choose between video and phone.

Video session - have a face-to-face with your wellness practitioner through video streaming.

Phone session - conveniently speak with your wellness practitioner on the phone or through your computer.

Your appointed wellness practitioner will reach out to you for session date and time options. Once you both agree on session times, your practitioner will provide you with easy instructions on how to meet. Don't hesitate to reach out to your practitioner regarding any concerns.

Am I and/or my partner able to join sessions with my teen?

Yes, you just need to join through the Family option. If you have already joined through the Teen option, this is not a problem since they are both the same cost. Please let your wellness practitioner know that you would like to join the sessions.

We find it to be very beneficial for all involved to see and hear what the teen and the parents are going through, so that they may better empathize with each other. All participants need to be ready to work with their minds as the others witness and come to a better understanding of each other.

Can I be reimbursed by my insurance?

Mental Wellness For All does not submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid or health insurers. Services offered using this site are generally not covered by health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.  The services that are possibly covered cannot be covered since the services must be considered medically necessary for a diagnosed mental health condition, which usually requires a licensed therapist to provide the treatment. Mental Wellness For All provides certified wellness practitioners, but does not provide licensed therapists.

Please note that Mental Wellness For All offers such affordable pricing options, they are typically much lower than co-pays of most insurance plans.

Coverage and benefits for traditional therapy and therapy services change from one health insurance company to another and from plan to plan, but generally the following rules apply:

With many health insurance plans, coverage can be partial or very limited. Even if your plan covers all your costs, the co-pay that you would be required to contribute is generally much higher than the entire cost of Mental Wellness For All.
